Having fun in the midst of stressful life
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
Here I am now in the library of BSU. I just went through a hectic week last week, with 3 psych subjects’ tests. It went quite well for me though but it was hard work…
Celebrated my CNY with a bunch of Malaysians where we had a potluck on Sunday night. There were a lot of local food (e.g. barley, chik kut teh, fried curry chicken, "mei tau" etc.) About 40-50 ppl came for the "party". The dress code was either traditional or red clothing. I wore my cheong sam. There was another girl who wore hers too. A japanese girl wore her kimono. A baju kurung girl as well. Most wore red tops. So, basically the lounge was filled with red top people. It was decorated with red lights, red cloth etc. CNY songs playing through the radio. Everyone cooperated in creating a rily CNY atmosphere. It was a happy night but it made me miss home even more. I rily miss celebrating CNY back at home, with all the ang paus n cookies (pineapple biscuits, kui ka pet, bee hive…) Its still CNY mood n holidays back in Malaysia. Here, right after SUnday, it was back to school & assignments & readings. There’s no holiday here at all!!! CNY mood kinda slowed me down in my studies. Haha… MISS YOU GUYS!!! MISS MY FAMILY!!! MISS DARLING!!!
Next week is gonna be another hectic week. It’s gonna be like this every fortnight. THere’s gonna be 2 quizzes & an assignment due on Wednesday. A quiz on THursday but Friday’s a holiday! Hoorah!
Btw, my laptop’s "sick" n its at the computer shop now. WIll only be getting it back next week. Sad case but luckily it wasn’t big a much deal. Something was wrong with the keyboard & they managed to find a replacement for it. Not very costly, if you count it dollar for dollar. Haha…
I’ll have to stop for now. Have Chinese class coming up in 10 minutes’ time. Don’t ask me why am I in Chinese class. It’s super boring & everytime I’m in that class, sleeping is what I do. Haha… & the teacher’s from CHina. Her slang’s "weird" or should I say that i’m not used to it. Just don’t like it. Sigh…
